The g-Eclipse project concentrates on the development of tools for Grid users, Grid operators and Grid developers. Therefore the project does not run its own Grid resources, but uses the Grid resources available from other projects.

The Grid resources used for the development of the g-Eclipse framework are provided by the EGEE project (gLite middleware) and the project partners (GRIA middleware).

The Virtual Organization membership of the g-Eclipse project is managed with VOMS (Virtual Organization Management System). This service is run by Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe within the German national Grid project D-Grid.
